in Shoreham Wading River Central School District
WHAM was established in 2018 out of the need for greater advocacy and equity for the arts. Student Nicolette Tingo and her mother Stacey Tingo brought this vision to life making a presentation to the Board of Education and Superintendent Gerard Poole, who wholeheartedly accepted the organizational concept in the Spring of 2018. The Wildcats Helping the Arts & Music was incorporated in July, and received non-profit designation in August. We are an organization of parents, students working together with administration and teachers, dedicated to fostering and enhancing music, visual and performing arts programs and facilities in the Shoreham Wading River Central School Districts for all K-12 students. FIRST MEETING will be held Monday, September 14th at 6pm in our High School Library. All parents from Kindergarten through seniors are encouraged to attend! We would love to have a parent building representative for each school on our team!
